About Me

My name is Ethan Whitten and I am a videographer studying Digital Video Production at Durham College.  Having been inspired by independent film makers such as Quentin Tarantino, Robert Rodriguez, Kevin Smith, etc. I intend to make independent movies upon graduation.  In addition to shooting videos, I also have experience with audio engineering, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe After Effects.  My love of video started at a young age; when my mom brought home a digital point and shoot to take on vacation with us, that just happened to take video as well.  I spent our trip and the next seven years of my life recording everything.  I made and edited my first video with a real narrative when I was fifteen.  That is when I realised that being a film maker was the only thing I wanted to do with my life.  Since then I have made countless videos, be it for my Youtube Channel, or for my own personal use.  I learn more with each video I make.  I have spent the last few years intensely studying the works of some legendary film markers such as Steven Spielberg, Stanley Kubrick, and Alfred Hitchcock, to learn as much as I possibly can.  If you would like to contact me about a video you would like to make, or if you would like to work with me on a project, I can be reached by email at ethan.whitten@dcmail.ca or by phone at (905) 767-5931.
